AVG Internet Security Review
AVG Internet Safety is a comprehensive suite that protects your Windows computer from threats to your web browsing and malware. It comes with the majority of features you’ll find in modern antivirus software and is a light program that doesn’t impact the performance of your PC while it is running. It is unique in its attributes, like the capability to repair damaged files and the ability to create a “virus vault” which stores items that are suspect to ensure their safety.
The interface is clean and easy to use. The main dashboard displays scan progress, the current subscription status, and the list of services that are enabled or disabled. It also shows when the last scan was completed, which is a nice touch for users that want to make sure that their systems have been updated. The hamburger menu at the top of the screen gives additional options for setting. This also allows you to change scanning protocols.
AVG has a solid reputation in the industry, and its protections are among the most effective available. Its security software does not place a huge strain on the overall performance of a PC, which is important since a security protector that causes lag is quickly turned off by the user and will not be used at all.
AVG Ultimate is a complete package that includes all the important systems of AVG and protects your devices from ransomware, peeping Toms and other threats. However, if you’re not keen on paying for the entire package, AVG offers an even more affordable version that doesn’t include ads or phone support, but does include all the essential systems of the company.
